Our Name

Kalamunda comes from two Aboriginal words of the Noongar language — “kala” meaning home and “munda” meaning forest. Together, they create a powerful idea:
“A home in the forest.”

It’s a name that captures exactly what we believe the outdoors should feel like — a place of comfort, freedom and belonging.
